Did Obama’s SOTU point out the fact he is a failure?
Normally when a president wants to show how successful he has been over the past year while giving his State of the Union Address, that president doesn’t repeat what had been said in previous SOTU’s. Why, you may ask? Because to do so merely points out the fact that what the president said was a national priority in previous years has yet to be addressed today. Kind of like that New Year’s resolution of losing 15 pounds, 30 pounds ago.
But this is exactly what Obama did last night when addressing Congress and the nation.
Check out this video from the GOP.
Here’s a list of the topics from the video that Obama said are of such importance to America that our country needs to take action on them. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . again. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . like he said before. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . or something.
Hard work needs to be rewarded
Move forward
Colleges and Universities cut / keep costs down
Fix illegal immigration once and for all (again)
Stop expelling responsible young people
Staff labs and start businesses
Repair roads and bridges
Deficit of trust
Perpetual Campaigning
More competent, efficient, effective government
While some may say Obama is continuing to point out the importance of these topics, I say bull. If he would have been able to present any one of these as a success story, he would have. Instead he presented them in the same fashion as he did in previous years, as something that needs to be done. Because of this, Obama himself has pointed out his failures.
And to all the lefties who say the Repubs are standing in his way, please explain how the right is preventing colleges and universities from cutting their costs, or stopping illegal immigration reform, or doing what they can to make sure responsible young people will continue to be expelled (huh???), and on and on. Actual facts would be appreciated. And while you’re at it, explain how staffing labs is sooooooo important it’s considered a national priority. Feel free to include what labs Barry is talking about.
