Support for Obamacare is changing (believe in it)

American’s support for Obamacare (aka government run health care) is changing.

Town hall face-offs erode health support – Washington Times

While the majority of American’s supported a government health care plan a few short months ago, the public opinion has been changing since the facts about the bill have been coming out in bits and pieces.  This is exactly what the left knew would happen and this is why they pushed so hard a few months ago to get the bill thru as quickly as possible.

And how pissed off are the left is at this change in attitude toward gov’t health care? (from article):

Initially, the White House and Mr. Obama’s Democratic allies struck back at angry protesters for disrupting the meetings, calling them “mobs,” “extremists” and “thugs,” and said the protests were “manufactured” and did not represent a majority of the country. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer, in a USA Today column Monday called them “un-American.”

But the White House and Democrats noticeably softened their tone this week and embraced “vigorous debate” when it appeared the pitched battle over the town-hall meetings was drowning out their message on health care as public support was plummeting.

Huh.  The American public stands up for what they believe and the government slings insults until they realize the people are not going to shut up and become sheep.  And now the elected officials realize they have to actually listen to the American public.

Now this is change I can believe in.  I only hope this type of change continues.
